The 2014 theme is Spark a Reaction and that is exactly what we do with the Library Kick-Off Party. We kickstart the rest of the Summer. We have rides, bounce houses, authors, prize giveaways, Kindles, GoPros, Boat Rentals, even a PS4.
It is really easy to get library users inside reading books and using libraries. But how do get the kid that has never come in or the people that don’t know the wealth of information and fun that are inside those walls because they have never set foot inside?
Librarians have the reputation of shushing people before any fun happens, truth is, libraries are changing and our Summer Reading Program is leading the way.
